How to Wear Your Black Skinny Jeans - Tips For Men and Women

By John Harkins

Skinny jeans aren't necessarily skin tight. They can be loose and relaxed fit or straight legged. The term "skinny jean" just means they make you look skinny. So don't be afraid, if you are curvy, to try a pair out. Here are a few tips on how to look your absolute best in your favorite pair of skinny jeans.
Body Types
As with any good pair of jeans or clothes, to look fabulous, you want to try and find a pair of black skinny jeans in your size. If you get a size too small, they can hug the wrong places and cause unsightly bulges and give the opposite effect.
Tall: If you were blessed with the tall and lean jean, you can wear just about anything with a pair of black skinny jeans and look great. Women should avoid high heels and high heeled boots as these give your legs the appearance of length and make you look even taller than you already are. Any kind of top will look great on you, so go ahead and experiment with different looks.
Short: If you aren't blessed with height, as mentioned before, women should add a pair of heels or even platforms to elongate your legs. Wearing long tops over them gives you an added appearance of height.
Curvy: If you are curvy female or average in shape, the best option would be to go for the boy- cut straight leg jean. Old Navy and Levi's make the best of this type. They are both comfortable and affordable. You want to flatter and accentuate your best features with your outfits.
Colors
The best way to give an appearance of lean and slender is to wear dark colors. This tip works well with your black skinny jeans. This color is very versatile and can go with just about any blouse you have in your closet.
Shoes
The best shoes to wear with them are heels, high-heeled boots or ballerina flats. You want to avoid sneakers with these unless the legs taper off above the tongue of the shoe. Most styles are hemmed just below your ankle. High heels give an appearance of height and elongate the legs while flats shorten your legs.
The term "skinny jean" is just a style. There's really nothing to be afraid of if you're nervous about getting that pair you've always wanted. There are different types so you can find the pair in your perfect size to give you that perfect look.

Men's Dress Shirts - How to Wear a Black Dress Shirt

By Tony X Jones
With so many colors in mens shirts today it is sometimes difficult to know what shirt goes with what pants and what color shirts should be worn on for different occasions. While many men find themselves drawn to black dress shirts, once they get them home they are never quite sure what to wear with them or what types of occasions these shirts are most suited for.
A Casual Look
One of the reasons men are drawn to black dress shirts is that black shirts no matter what style never seem to truly make it beyond the casual category. Unless you are the rare man that can make anything look stylish and formal it is best to avoid wearing that black shirt for job interviews and professional business meetings where the more formal business look is encouraged. That being said there are many occasions where a black dress shirt can make the perfect statement and even help you stand out and look smart.
Great Occasions to Wear a Black Dress Shirt
One occasion where a mens black dress suit can really stand out and make an impression is on a date where you want a dress casual look. Your date will be pleased that you took the trouble to wear a nice shirt, pants, and a tie for the occasion but did not go overboard. You can also wear a black dress shirt to the office if your dress policy is such that just dress shirts and pants are acceptable outfits. These shirts also go well at parties where you can either wear casual style slacks or jeans.
What Colors Go Well With a Black Dress Shirt
If you are going to wear a black dress shirt you are going to want to be extremely careful choosing what color of slacks and ties to go with this shirt. You are going to want to avoid wearing this shirt with a white suit unless you want to look to a movie hit man or someone who still disco dances. You also want to avoid a white tie and shoes as well. Most browns are also a pour choice to wear with your black suit as the two colors seem to class a bit and make you look a bit dull and boring. That being said here are some combination's that look great with that black dress shirt.
Khaki pants in almost any shade except those tending to be more brown than tan will look great with your black shirt. Combine the pants with black shoes and belt.
Light gray also looks great with color of shirt whether you simply choose a pair of well cut dress pants or a suit. The paler the gray the more dressy the look. Combine this shirt and pant ensemble with a black belt, black, shoes, and a silver and gray striped tie for a really great look. You can also wear a light gray sweater without the tie for a more casual look.
There are other colors that will match well with a mens shirt including black pants with a red tie or sweater and Either black or blue jeans. Black shirts make great accessories to your wardrobe if you know what colors to match your shirt with.

10 Tips on How To Look Slimmer for Women and Men

By Ankitaa
You are struggling with your weight. You don't know what to wear without looking fat. With proper diet and exercise, and a lot of patience, you will win over those weight worries.
But do you need a reprieve from all these weight worries?
Well, here's one - everyone has weight issues. Everyone wants to look thinner. Everyone is trying to find out how to look slimmer. No matter what size, every man and woman wants to look slim.
And there's some better news - the 10 best tips to look slimmer is stated below. Both women and men can use this list to look slimmer and smarter everyday.
But before we begin, there's one important action you have to take -
Embrace your size!
Accept the size you are in RIGHT NOW, not the size you were or the size you will be.
When you do this, you will overcome the turmoil of weight worries and its toll on your mentality. Your social confidence will increase, and your attitude will change, enabling people to notice your personality, not your size.
Plus you save a lot of money by buying clothes you actually wear, not keep stuffed inside the wardrobe hoping to wear some day.
Now, let's continue on how to look slimmer:
1. Wear well-fitting undergarments - The undergarment you wear should be of a good quality fabric (should not scratch your skin or cause any itch) and fit you without showing any bulges on your body. You can also try shapewear undergarments available for both men and women. Such undergarments provide more support to the body while maintaining a slimmer silhouette.
2. Avoid shiny fabrics - Shiny fabrics look larger than they are, while matte fabrics absorb light and appear flatter and smaller. If you want to wear something shiny, restrict the bling to a minimum, preferably on accessories.
3. Avoid chunky knits - Chunky knits are large garments, so they make you look too full. If you do have to wear one, use a broad belt to accentuate your waist and look slimmer instantly.
4. Wear clothes with straight lines - Clothes with a straight line are more efficient in camouflaging your flaws. Round or curved lines will highlight your roundness.
5. Wear darker colors - Black is a good color to look slimmer instantly. If you are bottom-heavy, wear darker colors in the lower half of your body. Wearing lighter colors in the top will take away the attention from your problem areas in the lower half, and make you look thinner.
6. Wear v-necks - If you are top-heavy, wearing v-neck or boat-shaped necklines will take attention away from a full chest.
7. Open your jacket/coat - If you are top-heavy, open your jacket/coat to take attention away from a full chest and/or tummy and make you look thinner. Just don't freeze yourself.
8. Avoid round shapes in accessories like sunglasses, jewelry, etc. - Go for elongated and asymmetric shapes, which make your face look slim and long.
9. Don't attract attention to your midriff - Avoid wearing a short top exposing your midriff or by tucking your top inside your bottoms.
10. Avoid thick or thin heels (stilettos) - Wear medium heels to look slimmer instantly. Medium heels will make your ankles and legs appear long and slim.
And finally, whatever you wear, stand tall and move with a purpose.
Be confident in your own skin.

What to Wear If You Are Overweight?

by Lara Lee Choosing the right style of clothes can be very important if you are overweight or obese. Most of the clothes which are available in the plus sizes sections are either too lose on you or too tight. So here are a few tips to look smart while your fat is not bulging out of your clothes.
If most of your weight is on your middle body area, for instance you have excess weight on your stomach, lower abs, and love handles, then you should try wearing clothes which are lose from that area. Do not wear fitted jeans , try wearing skirts and longer shirts which will hide that area. Make sure you wear a tight undergarment underneath so that the fat does not look like it is in layers, but rather one solid portion. Try wearing longer, shirts with skirts.
If most of your body fat is on your shoulders, upper bust area, then you should try wearing clothing which is loose from the top. Try wearing scoop necks, v necks. Do not wear halters or tube tops. You can wear skirts, jeans and enhance your middle portion rather then your upper body. If you have more fat on your butt and thighs then skirts are your thing. Wear skirts since they are tighter from your waist and smoothly curve your rear end.
Do not wear fitted skirts or fitted jeans. Cotton pants or silk pants will also make you look leaner. Make sure you try every piece of clothing before you buy it. See how it looks on you, do not go for the look of it in the magazine or someone else. Try a couple of different sizes and pick the one which you think makes you look elegant and smart. You do not have to hesitate to experiment with different styles of clothing if you think you can pull it off go ahead and wear it. But make sure you make a trip to the trying room before you step out to the cash register.

How to Pick Clothes That Flatter Your Particular Body Type

By Melanie Dodd   One of the most common mistakes women make when shopping is not purchasing clothes that flatter their particular body shapes. There are four basic female body shapes:
1) Pear shape - upper body is noticeably thinner than lower body. Weight gain tends to accumulate around hips and thighs.
2) Hourglass shape - very curvy body with clearly defined waist.
3) Apple shape - upper body is noticeably larger than lower body. Weight gain tends to accumulate around waistline.
4) Rectangle shape - figure appears "straight up and down", and curves are not very well-defined.
Pear shaped figures are flattered by clothes that enhance and draw attention to the upper body while emphasizing the waist. Wrap shirts and off-the-shoulder or V-necked tops are very flattering. Jackets with nipped-in waists and pockets and enhancements around the bust work well with this figure. Pants or jeans should be cut to where they fall straight down from the widest part of your hip with a mid-rise waist. Boot cut and slightly flared pants are ideal, but stay away from tapered legs.
Hourglass shapes are flattered by clothes that are proportional on both the top and the bottom, and attention should be drawn to the waist. Wrap tops and shirts that are gathered around the waist look great on this body type, but stay away from boxy styles. Pants and jeans that fall away from the widest part of your hip look best. Fitted, straight, or flared jeans work well as long as the flare does not exceed the width of your hips.
Apple shaped figures are flatted by light, layered fabrics. Proper layering around the midsection can make you look shapely verses thick. Monochromatic themes work best on this body type, as wearing the same colors on the top and bottom will create clean, straight lines. Tops and shirts should never be tight or clingy, and should always be long enough to at least hit the hip area. V-necks and wrap tops are very flattering, while chunky styles and long, thick jackets should be avoided. Bootcut jeans and pants that fall below the ankle are a great choice. A little stretch in the jeans goes a long way to pull in the midsection and emphasize the right curves.
Rectangle, or "straight shaped" figures are flattered by more form-fitting clothes with mixed and matched tops and bottoms to create the image of curves. Wide belts are recommended around the waistline. Tops and jackets with nipped and flared waists are ideal, and the bottoms should not extend beyond the hipbones. Off the shoulder, wide necked, or V-necked tops are very flattering. Pants or slacks with wide waist bands and full or flared legs that fit low on the hips are ideal.
Remember, all body shapes are beautiful, and there is no "ideal shape". Relax and have a blast while shopping for funky, fun clothes, and enhance the beauty that Mother Nature provided!
